DHAKA, Insurance Bulletin: The Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA) has rescheduled the office hours of all insurance companies and related organizations in the country. Under the new decision, the official activities of insurance companies will now run from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Sunday through Thursday.
This decision was taken to align with the operating hours of banks. An official order regarding this was issued by the Administration-2 branch of IDRA on June 24, 2026.
According to the new schedule, the workdays will be from Sunday to Thursday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. All insurance companies will observe full-day weekly holidays on Friday and Saturday.
IDRA's Own Schedule Remains Unchanged
The notification clarified that while the working hours for insurance companies have been modified, IDRA's own official schedule will remain unchanged in accordance with the directives of the Financial Institutions Division. Therefore, IDRA's own office hours will continue to be from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
